Within the large and growing healthcare industry, hemodialysis technicians are an essential part of the clinical workforce. In addition to their primary responsibilities with dialysis treatment, they help comfort patients both mentally and physically as they undergo this stressful procedure. Hemodialysis technicians typically work in hospitals or clinics under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, but some even work within their patients’ homes. Most hemodialysis technicians work full-time, standard schedules, but part-time work is also available.
